WarningSum:...An Unseasonably Strong And Wet Frontal System Will Move
Through The Area Monday...

Warning Message:...A deep upper trough will bring cool and showery conditions to
western Washington Tuesday through Thursday and will give snow
showers at times to the mountains and passes above 3500 feet...
An unusually active late may weather pattern is expected this week
across western Washington.
A strong cold front will move across the area late Monday.
Subtropical moisture that originated over the western Pacific is
accompanying the front and will bring a period of moderate to
locally heavy rainfall to parts of western Washington. At this
time it appears that 24 hour rainfall amounts between early Monday
and early Tuesday of one to two inches can be expected over the olympic
peninsula. One-half to one and a half inches of rain are possible
over the interior lowlands and Cascades. In addition to the
soaking rainfall...breezy to locally windy conditions are expected
ahead of the front. 
Vigorous impulses rotating around a deep upper level trough will
give showers and breezy conditions to the area Tuesday and
Wednesday. The air mass will be quite cool for late May. Mountain
snow levels are expected to drop to between 3500 and 4000 feet.
Snowfall over the higher mountain basses may result in hazardous
driving conditions at times. Temperatures in The Lowlands will
likely not get out of the 50s.
